Hanz Ronald
b. Ribeirão Preto, SP. Lives and works in São Paulo, SP, Brazil
In this exhibition, some of the works refer us to the networks created by the circulation of information and the postal universe. Hanz Ronald, on the other hand, explores the possibility of material presence that exists despite the physical and geographical distance between spaces. His body is present in space in the sample of notebooks gathered in this exhibition.
Installation (drawings and acrylic paintings)
The artist’s visceral drawings create an autobiography of his body and the marks it carries. The spectator is invited to connect with this body and create, from this connection, an image of the landscapes it occupies. In his drawings and writings, Ronald still confronts us with important questions about the construction of gender performance and contemporary masculinity.
